Data Analytics Instructor

**About the Role**

WIATech is a technical institute in formation in Waterloo, Sierra Leone — the academy division of Tabempa Engineering Limited — training engineers and analysts to a production standard. You will be the lead instructor for **DAT 200 · Data Analytics Engineering**, teaching the analytics stack end to end. Python and SQL fundamentals are taught by our Software Engineering faculty, applied machine learning by our AI & ML faculty, and the statistics is shared with our Mathematics & Statistics instructor — so you focus on the analytics-engineering, BI, and product-analytics craft that defines the programme.

**What You'll Do**

- Teach analytical SQL (window functions, CTEs, optimisation) and industrial data cleaning with Pandas.

- Teach BI & visualisation — Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio — dashboard design, KPI frameworks, and executive storytelling.

- Teach analytics engineering — data warehousing (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse), dimensional modelling, ETL/ELT with Apache Airflow and dbt, big-data foundations (Spark), and cloud analytics.

- Teach product & business analytics — funnels, cohorts, retention, analytics consulting, and business-strategy framing.

- Teach **DAT 45 · Foundations for Analysts** — the analytics lifecycle, data ethics, and spreadsheet engineering (Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot).

- Run the diploma's capstones and oral defences in WIATech's defence-led model.

- A senior analytics professional — **analytics engineer, senior data analyst, or analytics lead** — with broad, hands-on production experience across the modern analytics stack.

- Able to model a warehouse, build a dashboard, ship a pipeline, and present to executives — and explain every choice.

- A practitioner's instinct for messy, real-world data and for turning analysis into decisions.

- **Bonus:** industry analytics experience (banking, telecom, NGO, fintech); cloud data certifications; prior mentoring or teaching.

- A monthly salary of **NLe 3,500**.
